How do we work?
Our ethos at Nash Ecology is to provide high quality, professional ecology services which utilise innovative technology and sound ecological principles to provide clients with the most comprehensive and cost-effective outcome. We have a thorough understanding of UK wildlife legislation and its application within the planning system. Our experts are full members of the Chartered Institute for Ecological and Environmental Management. All surveys are carried out by fully insured, experienced professionals, holding the relevant statutory agency survey licences. Our ecologists have a breadth of project experience from barn conversions and house extensions to large-scale developments in sectors such as housing, power, aggregates and transport. We provide practical mitigation solutions to ecological issues to ensure sustainable outcomes for projects and ecological alike. Origin Nash Ecology is a family run business, established by Ele Nash B.Sc. (Hons) M.Sc. MCIEEM in 2016 following seven years’ experience of working for both independent ecological consultancies and multi-national engineering firms. Ele has extensive experience in ecological scoping and protected species survey with a specialism in mammal survey techniques and mitigation strategies. Ele is a certified tree climber and a Level 1 Thermographer. Ele was joined by Darryn Nash B.Sc. (Hons) M.Sc. Ph.D. CEcol MCIEEM in 2019. Darryn has over 13 years’ experience in ecological consultancy, conservation and research. Darryn has extensive experience in undertaking protected species surveys, devising mitigation strategies and stakeholder liaison. He holds a range of protected species survey licences including bats, great crested newt, natterjack toad, rare reptiles, dormouse and barn owl. Like Ele, Darryn is certified to climb trees. |
